Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the 10-year workmanship warranty cover?

Our workmanship warranty covers any installation-related defect that develops within 10 years of the install date — improper flashing, missed nail patterns, ventilation problems, or any issue caused by how we installed the roof rather than the materials themselves. If a covered issue develops, we make it right at no cost to you.

Is the warranty transferable to the next homeowner?

For our standard 10-year workmanship warranty: transfers reduce coverage by year. For manufacturer-extended warranties (GAF Golden Pledge, CertainTeed SureStart Plus, Owens Corning System Protection): yes, fully transferable to the next homeowner with the same terms. Transferability is one of the strongest resale-value reasons to choose a certified-contractor warranty package.

What is the difference between workmanship warranty and shingle warranty?

Workmanship warranty (from us) covers installation. Shingle warranty (from the manufacturer — GAF, OC, CT, IKO) covers material defects in the shingles themselves. Both apply to your roof. Most roof issues are workmanship problems, not material defects — which is why a strong workmanship warranty is more valuable in practice than the manufacturer warranty alone.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damage caused by storms, falling trees, ice dams, fire, or other external events (those are insurance claims, not warranty claims). Damage from improper third-party modifications (someone else stepped on the roof, drilled into it, added equipment without our knowledge). Normal cosmetic aging like color fade or minor granule loss after year 10.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Call 478-216-2678 (phones answered any time). Describe the issue. We schedule an inspection within 24-48 hours. If the issue falls under warranty, we make it right at no cost. If it does not, we tell you what it would cost to fix outside the warranty so you can decide.

Will my insurance company recognize your warranty?

Yes — our warranty is recognized by major homeowner insurance carriers in Georgia. We provide warranty certificates and our license information with every install so your insurance has the documentation they need. The warranty does not replace insurance, but it adds protection for installation issues that insurance typically does not cover.
